We're Having a Girl!

Hi everyone! Well, as you can tell from the headline, it is confirmed.......we are having a baby girl! We are so excited! I had the amniocentesis done on January 10. I made out fine but the test itself was somewhat uncomfortable. I did have to miss two days of work and one of my classes was horrible. Needless to say they had some consequences upon my return. We had a call from the doctor today with our test results and the office told us that everything is fine. We are so thankful! Otherwise, things have been going well. My energy is good and we are getting a lot accomplished around the house. Lou has been busy working on the baby's room and we will be ready to paint in no time. When we have it finished I will post pictures for all to see. We went to Sarasota on Sunday and had a great day. One of our stops included Babies R Us and we had fun looking at all of the baby things. So many choices! We hope everyone is well and we will post more updates as they arise. Perhaps there will even be a few pictures of my growing belly:)

Lots of love to all!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hi there! Well, our holidays were wonderful. School ended for me on December 20. Lou's birthday was December 21 and we went out to celebrate at The Crow's Nest in Venice and then the next day went to his parents house for dinner and cake. We then had plenty of time to get ready and we had everyone here at our house for Christmas Day. Lou's parents, Sam (Lou's brother) and his girlfriend, Danielle, and her mom Patty and her aunt Chris. We had a really great afternoon and everyone had full bellies, especially me :). Lou had to go back to work the next day but I do not go back until January 7 so my special project has been to clean out the computer room to get ready to redo it and make it our baby's room. Lou helped out a lot over the weekend and again on New Year's Day. For New Year's Eve we went to Lou's parents house for dinner (which was fantastic) and then we headed home and spent the rest of the evening at home watching Dick Clark. It was a nice relaxing New Years. Below are some pictures from our festivities.
Happy Birthday to Lou!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Happy New Year, from Melissa and Lou!
