Finally, here I am with some updates. It has been awhile and I have to say that the end of my school year (bascially the months of April and May) were CRAZY and I just did not have much down time. When I did, I relaxed with my feet up. Anyway, school has ended, YIPPEE, and summer has begun! The end of my year was crazy as I said. I am in charge of Student Council at my school so in addition to the normal routine we sponsored a school wide talent show in May, that included auditions in April (that was great I must say). We also held a car wash for Teacher Appreciation Week in May and we participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for our new school. Yes, that is right, our new school is finished, so no more portables! I am so excited to be moving into the new school building next school year! Finally, a real school building, this is going to be so awesome. The end of the year involved reviewing with my students, packing the entire classroom (to which I am ever grateful to my students, particularly my 8th graders, who did the brunt of the work) and giving final exams. I am happy to say that all of my students passed their final exam! I am very pleased! My last official day was Friday, June 6 and now I am on vacation.

Baby news: Things are going great! I can't say that I always feel great, but everything is going well and as it should. My last doctor's appointment was Monday, June 9 and her heartbeat is good and strong. We are now going to weekly appointments and last week my doctor said it would be at least another 2 weeks before she arrives. At our latest appointment, she still had not really dropped yet so we are hanging in there. We have offically 2 weeks from yesterday until the estimated due date. Lou and I are both excited and nervous at the same time. We recently took a child birth class and a baby care basics class. Both were very informative and we are glad to have had the opportunity to participate in them. Our next appointment in Monday, June 16, so I will keep you posted. My mom and Lou's mom had a shower for me in April that was great! We had a beautiful day and I was so happy to share my excitement with family and friends. We received so many generous gifts! Lou and I are truly blessed to have such caring family and friends! Thank you to everyone who made the day so special, especially our families who put much time and effort into our event!

Well, time to work on some household projects. Working on getting things tidied up before the big arrival. Don't worry, I won't overdue it.
