Englewood Beach

Last evening we went to Englewood Beach at sunset. It was beautiful! The sky was perfect and Ava had a fantastic time! We had a lot of fun watching her take in everything. The water was really warm and while we did not go swimming we all got our feet wet whether we wanted to or not. For some reason I do not have pictures of that, I don't know why?! Next time. We hope you enjoy our fun!

Disney Trip

At the end of July, prior to my first day back at school, we took a little trip to Disney. Now, some may think that we are completely CRAZY f or attempting to take a 13 month old to Disney (and I would normally concur), however, we were going to meet Lou's cousin Steve and his family and thought it would be fun to see them in Orlando during their vacation. Normally, when they visit Florida they drive from Orlando to see us. Well, it turns out we were crazy and the trip did not go very well. The main problem was that Ava would not sleep in a different environment. Unfortunately, we cut our trip short. On the upside, we did get a couple of good pictures in front of the castle and our hotel was very cool (theme was New Jersey Boardwalk). Anyway, I don't think we will attempt Disney again for a very long time.

We took Ava to Sears for her 1 year portraits in June. She had a ball having her picture taken and we were thrilled with the results! Enjoy!

Happy Independence Day!

We hope everyone had a safe and fun-filled 4th of July! A friend of ours had a barbecue so we were able to attend for a little while after Ava had her nap. She was fairly cranky in the afternoon so even though the party started at 2:00 we were not able to get there until later. We still had fun and Ava made some new friends, Gracie (11 weeks old) and Jack (9 months old). They are Yorkies belonging to our friends Tammy and Jeff and they are sooooo cute! Ava just loved them! Later on we took some of our own pictures at home. Our day was topped off with the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona, unfortunately Jeff was caught up in an early accident and finished 28th......Yuck! Tony Stewart won the race in an exciting finish....the most exciting part of a somewhat lackluster race.....in which Kyle Busch crashed....I wasn't too upset by that! Ava had an interesting time trying to get to sleep with all of the fireworks in the neighborhood but eventually she had success!

June Updates

June was an exciting month, especially because our little girl turned 1 year old. I can't believe it has taken me this long to post this information but I have little spare time on my hands. June was also exciting because I finished up the school year and am now spending everyday with my little peanut and I am loving every minute of it!!!!! Below are a bunch of pictures from June.
